My Video Coach is not working – how can I make it work?

How do I turn off/on my video coach?

Once you are inside the site a toolbar appears on the right hand side of the page, the bottom link on this toolbar displays the current setting for your video coach, you either need to click it in order to turn the coach on or off.

Can I still work through the Modules without my Video coach?

Yes, the mental health M.A.P. site has been designed so that a member is able to either work through the modules with or without their video coach base on preference.

How can I change my Video coach?

We currently have three video coach options; you are able to select the coach that best fits your preference by creating an account and visiting the account settings page (you must also be logged into your account). There you will find the three coach options, you need to select the option you would like and save your changes otherwise the coach will not change.

Where are my tracking tools?

The tracking tools can be found on your journal page (see the link below). In order to make full use of the tracking tools you must create an account and be logged in to that account so that your information can be saved. If you are not sure that you would like to create an account you can demo the entire site without creating your own account. The only problem with this is that once you leave the page or your session expires you will lose everything you have filled out.

How can I view my progress or previously entered information?

There are two ways to do this; the first is by viewing each individual tool. There is a link or button at the bottom of each tool that allows you to select that date you would like to view. The second method is to view all of the tools on a certain day by changing the viewing date at the top of the page. You can also view the information from the tools as well as the modules through the report widget found at the bottom of the journal page.

Where can I find all of my work from the Modules?

As you are working through the modules you will be filling out work sheets, the information you fill out is generated into reports and is viewable in the reports widget on the Journal page. You are able to update the information as you progress on your road to recovery and are also able to view the previous information you entered along the way. This will also help you to see the progress you have been making.

Who has access to my personal information?

No one, other than you, will have access to your personal information unless you provide them with access to it. Individuals who register to become members of the Mental M.A.P. program will have the option to invite and authorize individuals to view select pages/reports they specify. For instance, someone may want their personal trainer to be able to check their exercise tracker or for their physician to check their medication tracker. This is designed to allow you to put in place a support team, should you wish to, that can help with your plan, and you can isolate their access to specific components of your plan. The option to involve others is entirely up to you. It’s your choice.

What access to information will the Mood Disorders Association have?

The Mood Disorders Association, as well as the company maintaining and hosting the site, will have access to aggregate data, but not to specific user information. They will, for instance, know how many visitors are using the resource, the modules and pages most and least often visited, average time spent on the site components and the choices, in aggregate, that people make. From the basic demographic information provided on registration, they will also have a sense who is using the site in terms of age groups and gender, as well as where (province/country), people are visiting from.

What information do participating sponsors have? What about organizations undertaking to promote Mental Health M.A.P. to their employees?

Participating sponsors and organizations promoting Mental Health M.A.P. will not have any access to individuals’ personal information.

Participating sponsors will be provided with (1) reports that profile site traffic (ex. number of visitors, time spent, and demographic information) and (2) high level insights gleaned that will be of value. So, for instance, we will share with them what we learn about which modules and pages, in aggregate, people choose to visit , how they use the various tools and the choices they make in terms of action plans. On a case by case basis, the same information might be made available to organizations that become active in promoting Mental Health M.A.P. to their employees and/or clients. We are eager to encourage organizations to foster healthy mental health outcomes and this will be one way of supporting that.

Again, while all can benefit from learning about how people use this tool to advantage, no individual information will be accessible.

How do I set my Email Alert reminders?

You are able to set and customize various email alerts to help you stay on track with your recovery. You are able to set the alerts that you feel will be useful as well as how often you would like them to notify you. If you begin to feel the email alerts are no longer helping you, you can turn them off or change the timing at any point.

How can I invite others to view my progress?

One of the wonderful (and optional) features of M.A.P. is the ability to build a support network of people who can view the progress you are making and help you along your path to recovery. You are able to invite people you know to join the site and can grant them access to your tracking tools so they can track your progress along with you. You are able to pick and choose which users have access to which tools; it is completely customizable so that you share as much as you are comfortable with the people you feel comfortable sharing with. For any reason you are also able to delete users from your online support network or you can make changes to the tools they see at any time. You can also choose not to use this feature at all if you are not comfortable doing so.

Please note in order to use this function you need to create an account and in order to make any changes you must be logged into that account.
http://www.mymentalhealthmap.com/MDAO/SupportGroup.aspx

How can I support others through their progress?

The secondary function to the online support network is to be a member of someone else’s online support network. Other members that you know can invite you to join their online support network and can select the tools they wish to share with you. This is an ideal feature for supportive friends or family members who are able to aid in a member’s recovery by helping them stay on track and stay up to date on their progress.

If I invite someone to view my progress can they see everything on my account?

The answer is no. The people you invite to view your account can only see the tools you select for them to see. You are also able to customize the tools each person sees, for example, if you have a close friend that you would like to share everything with and a health care practitioner who you only want to share some things with you are able to choose which tools each person can view.

Where are my tracking tools?

The tracking tools can be found on your journal page (see the link below). In order to make full use of the tracking tools you must create an account and be logged in to that account so that your information can be saved. If you are not sure that you would like to create an account, you can demo the entire site without creating your own account. The only problem with this is that once you leave the page, or your session expires, you will lose everything you have filled out.

How can I view my progress or previously entered information?

There are two ways to do this: The first is by viewing each individual tool. There is a link or button at the bottom of each tool that allows you to select that date you would like to view. The second method is to view all of the tools on a certain day by changing the viewing date at the top of the page. You can also view the information from the tools as well as the modules through the report widget found at the bottom of the journal page.

When I post information with these tools can any one else see it?

If you have chosen not to activate the online support network and have not invited anyone to view your progress then you are the only person who is able to see the information you enter. If you have invited people to view your progress then they are able to see the information you have logged for the tools they are selected to view. You are always able to change the tools they can view or to remove them completely should you choose.

Where can I find all of my work from the Modules?

As you are working through the modules you will be filling out work sheets, the information you fill out is generated into reports and is viewable in the reports widget on the journal page. How can I invite others I know to use this site?

Are you really enjoying the site and know people who could also benefit from using it? We have built in an online invitation system that will allow you to send an email invite to various people you think would enjoy the site as well. These people will not have access to your account and they will not be able to view any of your information, they will only be invited to create their own account. However in order to use this feature and invite others you must be logged into your own account.
